Ch. 50 : Luz de la Louna

As her belly keeps getting bigger and bigger, Serenity wonders how she’s going to raise her baby all by herself. Her parents are old, they won’t be able to help for long. Heck, her father alone could go at any minute.

So when the labour pangs begin, she isn’t sure to call for help.

Kori and Adrian are both at work, and her father is no help whatsoever. He just stands there jumping up and down, waving his arms, and freaking out.

Luckily cousin Blade is walking past the house at that very moment helps drive her to the hospital.

After a few moments deliberation, Serenity decides to name her newborn baby girl Louna, after the first conversation Serenity ever had with Neal. Where he said her eyes reminded him of the moon.

Meanwhile at the bat cave- I mean Starr Manor...
“Papa! Oh it has been far too long since last we met.”
“Sweet Kori... I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to make it to the parties. Work’s been hectic.”

"Matthew said you needed to speak with me?”
“Yes mother... Serenity has been receiving strange gifts in the mail, and I wished to hear your opinion on the matter.”

“Well... what exactly is going on?”
“Shortly before Neal’s death she began receiving flowers from what Carey and I assume is an admirer. Normally, I would have paid it no heed, but the flowers have continued on past Neal’s death and seem to coincide with the deaths of sims in the neighborhood. You remember Cassie Hillard’s death due to the sudden Meteor Strike, do you not?”
“Yes.” Ella nods. “I remember... it was so tragic. She left behind three grown children.”
“On the topic of children...” Kori begins, changing the topic completely. “Serenity just had a child! Little Louna. She’s simply amazing. The most beautiful child you will ever see!”

“Hold it!” Ella mutters quickly. “Louna was born after Neal’s death? Who’s child is she?”
Kori makes a face. “Neal Comb’s, of course. My daughter is no cheap floozy.”
“I wasn’t trying to say that, Kori... but in my understanding even Grim has rules he cannot break. One of them being that he is unable to take the life of a man or woman while a child is being carried.”

“Those rules come from old stories, mother, nothing more.”
Ella smiles at her oldest daughter. “Dear... I have personally met with Grim over twenty times. I have spoken to him numerous times... the rules are real. I don’t know whats going on... but keep a close eye on Serenity. I will search Grim out tonight, see if I can ask him some questions.”

Serentiy hasn’t even looked at Louna since her birth. She spends all her time with her nose buried in the mysterious book she received from the bookstore manager. She can barely understand it, but its beginning to clear... When it doesn’t, she takes a break to fix up the garden she and Neal had started together.

So Louna’s parenting falls to the new grandparents.

And then to Adrian who never even realized the baby was born.

He decides to spend a bit more time at home from now on. Louna’s a little cutie, and he may as well treat his cousin’s child like his own, seeing as Serenity certainly isn’t doing that.

Luckily the watcher has declared babyhood to be short, and before long, Louna’s birthday has arrived.
Her mother is noticeably absent from the party, but no one decides to mention it.

I don’t know why Louna’s eyes appear so pale in her photos, but they’re actually quite a brilliant shade of green. Just like her father. She’s also inherited Neal’s hair. Its no wonder why Serenity can’t even look at her.

But thats okay. Neal’s mother sent her a toy doll following her father’s death. Louna grows quite fond of it almost immediately.

Ella and Matthew have a new addition to the household, but its not a child. A mysterious young gentleman has moved into the old house with them. He’s given no one his name, but he does seem to have a reason for his sudden appearance...

---
The twins have aged up:
Trista:

And Destiny:

They’ve both followed their father into the science career.
Their mother has just reached the top of the evil career branch. The red glow only seems to be a turn on for her husband.

GEE I WONDER WHO THE MYSTERIOUS GENTLEMAN IS >_>

Here's a hint: His name is Grim.

Ch. 49 : Graduation

Neal’s eco-friendly trait makes him feel guilty when he uses water. Showering is better, but not by much. Serenity convinces him that showering two at a time would be best for the environment.

Neal is reminded why he loves her.

Avarice and Johnathan are FINALLY expecting an autonomous child!

Adrian’s birthday comes.

He’s got one thing on his mind now that he’s an adult... any guess what it is?

Ren and Neal finally get a start on their garden.

This picture has nothing to do with the story really... I just love the look on Neal’s face.

Graduation day is here, and Serenity makes pancakes for everyone. She tries to ignore the dance party going on behind her. Why is her family insane? She hopes that isn’t a trait that runs in the family.

The grads. Adrian -> Neal -> Serenity

Bobby Silverman. He and Margarita tied the knot yesterday after their parents found out he knocked her up.

Lori Ring: (Whose parents died not long ago.)

And Margarita Silverman, who only stays for half of the ceremony before leaving to throw up.

Serenity wins Valedictorian and Most Popular. Neal gets Most Likely to become a superstar athlete. Adrian gets Most Likely to Save the World.
Carey takes his wife and Neal out for lunch. Adrian and Serenity were invited but declined. Adrian because he has some unfinished business to attend to...

... And Serenity because she thinks she may need to go shopping.

... Yep. She’s definitely preggers. Those pancakes were almost perfect quality!

Serenity can’t wait to start a family. Neal is has a photographer’s eye so he just wants to be able to take lots of pictures of their child and keep his or her memory alive forever.

---
Random time!
Carey has a thing for autonomous skinny dipping. I’d made the “dirty old man” thing as just a joke... but now I’m wondering if its etched into his personality as an elder.

Also the pool area I built. Not goanna lie... sort of proud of it >_>

Blade and his baby, Winter Slayer.

... Carey, no. Just stop. Don’t strut like that...

---
Okay back to the story!
“Ren, the baby is almost due, are you sure its safe to do these tests at the science lab?”
“Sweetie, I’m just going to be talking to some rats. I’ll be fine!

Neal logs onto his favourite computer game to get his mind off of his expecting girlfriend and her potentially dangerous hobbies. Unfortunately the laptop hails from Roxie’s generation, and the wires have become exposed and dangerous. A glancing touch from Neal’s hand stops his heart, and he’s dead before he hits the ground.

The news is almost too much for Serenity to bear. She leaves the experiment early to go home and be with her family.

It’s Kori’s birthday, but after Neal’s death, the family doesn’t feel like a celebration. She ages up silently in the living room.

She doesn’t look as different as Carey did. But she still feels the age in her bones.

However now is not the right time to talk about age. Serenity received another bouquet of flowers. This time a set of hot pink dagwoods in a black vase.

“Should we be worried about the flowers?” Carey asks. “The mailman claims he hasn’t been leaving them, and we’ve seen no one on the property but the paparazzi.”
“I will speak with mother.” She decides. “She may be able to help us figure this out.”

---

Whats really weird is after Serenity got pregnant, she never got the pregnancy moodlet, and she didn't get pregnancy leave from work either. I just thought I'd rub that in since everyone else here seems to hate maternity leave. :P

At first I was dreading this generation, but not that I've got the story set... I'm really looking forward to it! I'm just hoping I can pull it all off before the heir ages into a young adult...

Neal's death broke my heart. I tried not to get too attached... and failed.

Ch. 48 : Moving Day

“So I hear you and Neal are thinking of starting a garden? May I just go on the record by saying that I told you so?”
“We aren’t going to start planting until we’ve moved into the new house, dad.”

“Wait we’re moving?!” Why does no one tell Carey these things? The news almost gave him a heart attack!

Niles is SUPER EXCITED for the new house! He loves it!

Adrian snickers when he sees the new house for the first time. “What, was the asian theme too mainstream for you? You do know we’re only Spanish through one side of the family, right?”
Serenity just glares at him. “I don’t remember inviting you to come along, dork.”

He smiles at her before showing her the basement he added in before the move. “Well I’m moving in anyway.”
She takes a look around before raising an eyebrow. “What, was the NORMAL Vampire theme too mainstream for you?”
“... Shut up and go make tacos.”

Later that day, Serenity decides to go by the theatre for a show.

Elliot Silverman decides this is a good time to die of old age.

When Grim arrives, many of the other sims move away from him, giving him a clear path to the deceased. Serenity is not one of those sims.

She may not have known Elliot personally, but she was close friends with his niece Margarita.

Grim may or may not be impressed with this girl child who looks almost familiar to him.

After the spectacle of Elliot’s death, Serenity goes back to her task at hand, collecting the weekly real estate from her mother’s businesses.

Along with the money, the bookstore manager hands her a thick and dusty book.
“What is this?” She asks, trying to brush the dust off its cover.
“You’ll need it, Death’s Lover.” The manager mutters before disappearing into the back. Serenity follows him only to find the back room empty. Hunh.

To her surprise, a bouquet of purple flowers are waiting for her by the mailbox. She sets them next to her and Neal’s bed with a smile.

“Thank you for the beautiful flowers, Neal, I love them.”
Neal looks over her shoulder at them curiously. “They are nice, but they’re not from me.”

She doesn’t believe him but figures she’ll play along. Who else could they be from? “Well... how about I thank you for them anyway?”

“I’m okay with that.” He agrees.

Originally this chapter was 30 pictures long. Then I switched most of them to Ch. 47 because it made more sense there. Then this chapter became 6 pictures long... now its 16. And thats all you’re getting. Got it?
I AM ALLOWED TO MAKE SPANISH STEREOTYPES BECAUSE I AM SPANISH. 1/4 from Spain, 3/4 Chilean. Check out the Chilean stereotypes. Yes, most of them are true. We are all perfect and don’t mind talking about how perfect we are. All day long. <3
I think I made Ren and Adi sound like hispters for a minute there. I apologize for that.
